Founded on the East Coast of the United States by Christine Gerity of New Jersey, GALA Magazine | LGBT Artists' mission is to give voice to unseen,unheard, and undiscovered artists within the LGBT community; while inspiring, educating and motivating others to pursue their passions.

GALA Community

GALA has had an online presence since 2007 and its members and followers can be found on its social networking site hosted by Ning (galmagazine.ning.com); MySpace (www.myspace.com/galamagazine); Facebook (www.facebook.com/GALAmagazine) and Twitter too (twitter.com/GALA_Magazine).

While GALA's social networking site offers an opportunity for LGBT artists all of sorts to post their works and interact, it is also open to anyone interested in meeting the artists and interacting with other LGBT members. There are also forums for discussions on topics related to art, music, writing and more, as well as general topics regarding everyday life.

LGBT painters and authors who have joined GALA's online community benefit from posting their artworks and books along with links to external sites where their works are available for sale.

LGBT musicians that have joined the site (which is free, btw) benefit from posting their events, photos, concerts, music, videos and contact links.

These same benefits are available to any GALA member who wishes to self-promote their works that are relevant and/or of interest to the LGBT community.

Contributions of articles, photos, artwork, poetry, illustrations, tips and advice are always welcome. Owners of accepted works to be published will be notified via the email address that is provided at time of submission.
